Where We Stand: Boston Women of Color Mayoral Candidate Forum

“Where We Stand,” hosted by We, Ceremony and Beya Jimenez, will highlight the women of color mayoral candidates and their visions for a just City of Boston. The forum will follow a round-robin format with the opportunity for candidates to share opening and closing statements. Through this format, young women of color voters will hear from the candidates on issues of importance to their communities such as racial justice, economic justice, environmental justice, immigration, transportation, education, and housing.

"Fuck, It Feels Good" is a generative writing challenge inspired by Audre Lorde's "The Uses of the Erotic" and the things we need to say to our bodies. It is an explorative letter writing challenge on thinking and speaking about pleasure. Join us & Afrobeat Fit on Saturday, June 29th for a half-day of wellness and fitness to uplift women of color! We, Sweat! will serve as a closed space to empower our communities to live intentionally, cultivate approaches that center our needs in achieving holistic well-being, and to prepare ourselves to thrive in any space we occupy.

We, Sweat! not so there is less of us physically, but so there is more of us wholly.
